Block 8 Children's Society

We provide scholarships and support to children to ensure quality, inclusive programming.  In partnership with Block 8 Academy, we build daycares and provide services to the community, promoting the life skills and values stated in our constitution.  

Constitution

​a) to provide children and youth with enriching programming which may include, but is not limited to:

• life skills and resiliency
• appreciation of the outdoors
• respect for the environment
• financial awareness
• entrepreneurship
• music appreciation
• awareness and appreciation of culture and cultural differences
• social responsibility

b) to provide programs to children in daycare settings, during care hours, thus allowing family time after the children are picked up from daycare to be more relaxed.

c) to be community focused, working together with neighbouring businesses (both for profit and not for profit)

​d) to be accessible to students from a variety of learning styles and behaviours e) to be accessible to children from families of all income brackets
